How to get a 6 digit reference number for VAT payment ?
Is this 6 digit number compulsory for all VAT payment through Emaratax ? Yes it is compulsory when you make payment through Exchange or Bank transfer . It means when you make payment through GIBAN payment method.
How to generate 6 digit payment reference number ? now we can go through the simple steps.
Login FTA portal and click the My PAYMENT button . then you can see in the screen total VAT PAYMENTS DUE.
Step two –Click select & pay . then it will go to the next level . means GIBAN allocation.
Step 3, After selecting Click & Pay it will lead to the GIBAN allocation . Means we need to select THE liability type or what are the payments we are going to pay. ? Example , VAT liability separate or VAT penalty separate or both etc… then proceed to payment .
Step 4 – After allocation you will get a screen for payment method. You need to select GIBAN button for Exchange or bank transfer payment.At the same time you can see on the left side how much you are going to pay . the proceed to payment.
Last step , after clicking GIBAN proceed to payment , you will get a payment instructions details —- with 6 Digit payment reference number .
Now we have successfully created the 6 digits payment reference number . You can print Payment instruction details & submit to your exchange along with the payment .If it is online bank transfer then mention the above said 6 digit reference number along with the transfer details.Please ensure that you do not include any additional text when quoting your reference number via online banking. You should only enter the 6 digit reference number provided.
